Chapter 593: Gabriel’s Return
Chapter 593: Gabriel’s Return
Ding!A blinding dark purple light exploded from his palm, wrapping around the ancient scroll and the mask. The system screen in front of his eyes began to flash rapidly:
[Extraction Successful! 500 EP Deducted.]

A massive surge of cool, metallic energy shot out of the items and poured directly into Gabriel’s chest.
The energy did not feel heavy; it felt like a thousand invisible sharp needles spreading through his mind, expanding his mental power to a terrifying degree. He felt as if his consciousness had grown invisible hands, reaching out into the physical space around him.
Gabriel opened his blue eyes behind his visor.
He looked at his sheathed Dragon Fang dual blades resting on the wooden table a few feet away.
Without moving a single finger, Gabriel simply focused his mind on the twin blades.
Click.
The Dragon Fang dual blades rattled softly against the wood.
Slowly, under the dazed silence of the room, the twin blades lifted from the table. They did not fall; they hovered in the air, floating with a light, weightless grace.
With a single thought from Gabriel, the twin blades began to spin, tracing a silent, perfect circle around his body in the dark room, their edges glowing with a faint, lethal draconic aura.
Gabriel looked at the silently spinning blades, a cold, sharp smile forming beneath his white phantom mask.
The Emperor of Tianlan had his army. But Gabriel now carried a god’s heart in his pocket, and his blades could fly through the air to decapitate his enemies before they could even see his face.
...
Just outside the outer perimeter of the Broken Dawn camp, the forest was quiet.
A shadow moved between the tall, dark trees, stopping just a few dozen meters away from the camp’s main gates. The figure wore a white phantom mask that covered his face.
Gabriel slowly raised his hands to his face. He grabbed the edges of the white mask and pulled it off, storing both the mask and his coat directly into his system inventory.
Once his hidden identity was tucked away, he smoothed down his normal clothes and stepped out of the shadows of the trees.
He was no longer the mysterious and terrifying "White Phantom." He was returning to his home base as Gabriel.
Inside the camp, the atmosphere was buzzing with life. Players and NPCs were busy carrying wooden planks, repairing the stone walls, and tending to the crop fields. But despite the busy work, a heavy weight of anxiety had hung over the base for days. Everyone was worried about the elite expedition team that had gone into the deadly Buried God’s Tomb.
On the training field, Anna stood with her feet planted firmly on the dirt, her longbow pulled back to its limit.
Her hunter instincts were incredibly sharp, far exceeding those of any normal player. As she took aim at a wooden target, her ears suddenly twitched.
Thump.
It was a faint, familiar heartbeat.
Anna did not fire the arrow. She instantly lowered her bow, her head snapping toward the main gates of the camp. She did not wait for the guards on the watchtowers to sound the horn. She dropped her bow onto the grass and burst forward, running toward the gates at her maximum speed.
"Anna? Where are you going?" one of the players called out, but she ignored him completely.
She ran through the middle of the camp, her boots kicking up small clouds of dust.
At the main wooden gates, the heavy bar was slowly lifted. The guards on the tower had finally spotted the lone figure walking out of the forest. The moment the wooden gates swung open, Gabriel stepped into the camp.
Slide!
Anna skidded to a halt on the dirt, stopping just three paces away from him. Her chest was heaving from the fast run, and her bright eyes were wide as she stared at Gabriel’s face.
She looked at his arms, his shoulders, and his chest, carefully checking for any signs of injury. When she confirmed that he was completely safe and unhurt, a massive wave of relief washed over her face.
"Master," she said, her voice soft but filled with pure, honest warmth. "You’re back."
"Yes," Gabriel replied, a small, rare smile appearing on his face. "I’m back."
"Gabriel."
A clear, sharp voice called out from the side of the training field. The voice belonged to none other than Seraphina, who was in her Sarah form.
Even before Gabriel could say a word, the ancient vampire threw herself into his arms. Gabriel’s hand hovered above her for a moment before he hugged her back.
"For an ancient vampire who is supposed to be over a hundred years old, you’re quite the emotional baby," he couldn’t help but whisper into her ear, making her cheeks turn red in embarrassment.
Within minutes, the news of Gabriel’s return spread through the entire camp like wildfire. The players and NPCs who had been anxious for days erupted into loud, thunderous cheers. People stopped their work, dropping their tools to crowd around the entrance, their faces filled with pure joy. The heavy weight of worry that had hung over the base vanished in an instant.
"The Lord is back!"
Gabriel walked through the cheering crowd, his steps calm and steady.
Beside him, Anna kept a close watch on the surrounding players, while Seraphina still in her Sarah form clutched his arm tightly, her cheeks still slightly red from his teasing whisper. The massive weight of worry that had hung over the Broken Dawn camp for days had completely vanished, replaced by a noisy, happy celebration.
But Gabriel did not head toward the central hall to join the feast.
Instead, he turned toward the camp’s quiet medical building near the western wall.
"Master Gabriel, are you going to see Sophie?" Anna asked, her voice dropping into a soft, serious whisper.
"Yes," Gabriel replied, his eyes calm on his unmasked face. "How is her condition?"
